What Is Down Packing?
Down packing is the process of transferring material from larger bulk containers into smaller, more manageable packaging—such as cartridges, syringes, or other dispensing formats.
Limworks can readily down pack into any cartridge or syringe from any cup (up to 1400mL) or pail (up to 5 gallon). Just provide a description of your material, the material container, type and number of cartridge(s) or syringes(s) to be filled to begin the quoting process.

Direct Transfer Technology
Direct transfer means that material flows directly from a pail into the cartridge to be filled without needing hoses, pumps or priming. Material flow is determined by the downward force on the follower plate which is fully controlled by the operator. Cartridge adapters are available for “End Filling” the open end of the cartridge or “Tip Filling” the dispensing end and based on material viscosity. End filling adapters include a plunger nest for easy installation after the cartridge is filled. Tip filling allows the plunger to be installed to the bottom of the cartridge prior to filling.
Why it matters:
Direct transfer eliminates the set-up, priming, clean up and waste associated with pumping systems. It also eliminates the time, mess and air-entrapment when attempting to manually scoop material from a pail into a cartridge. Partially used pails can also be removed, stored and protected from contamination by keeping the follower plate and a plug inside the pail until next use. This may also help extended the material shelf life.
